You’ll need

  • 16 teaspoons Southern Sunrise
  • 900 ml/30.4 fl oz plus 500 ml/16.9 fl oz boiling water, divided
  • 220 g/7 oz caster sugar
  • 125 ml/4 fl oz freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1.2L T2 Jug-a-lot

How to

  1. Add the tea to the infuser of your 1.2L T2 Jug-a-lot and 900 ml/30.4 fl oz boiling water. Infuse for 30 minutes then remove infuser and leave to cool for 1 hour.
  2. Dissolve sugar in remaining 500 ml/16.9 fl oz boiling water. Add sugar mixture and lime juice to cooled tea and stir well.
  3. Pour into a flat metal tray (make sure you use a metal tray as it keeps the mixture cold). Place in the freezer for 4 hours, then remove and scrape with a fork. Repeat every hour for 4 hours to create your tea granita, and serve.
