Timba Smits is a curious, Melbourne-born, multi-disciplinary graphic artist whose work is characterised by nostalgia and childhood memories. Trams, rainy days and other Melbourne moments are expressed in the style of distressed posters iconic to the city’s buzzing live music culture. His grit perfectly complements our full-bodied Melbourne Breakfast tea, with smooth notes of vanilla ideal for cosying up when the wind starts howling.

This tea is sealed fresh inside a compostable plastic bag packed into a colourful recyclable tin. Store in a cool, dry place.
Best brewed 2-3 minutes using freshly boiled water. Perfect on its own or with a dash of milk.

Packaging that protects
Almost all of our packaging is recyclable, reusable or compostable and is marked with logos to support correct disposal.

Compostable teabags
Our tea has come packed in compostable teabags since 2021. Made from plant- based materials, both bag and string are made from Polylactic Acid (PLA), with a paper tag printed with vegetable ink. Heat-sealed, they’re also glue and staple-free.
Polylactic Acid is a biodegradable bioplastic made from plant sources – in our case, we've used corn starch.

Compostable shopping bags
Shopping in-store? Our uncoated shopping bags can be recycled (when you’re done reusing them). Please note, there is a small charge for carry bags.

Plant-based polybags
Our loose-leaf tea is wrapped in compostable plant-based polybags, which are compostable. We recommend checking with your local government’s green waste pick up service before placing bioplastics in your home compost bins.

Greener gift wrap
Aside from our stickers, our gift wrap is entirely recyclable.
