T2 × London Design Festival 2017
A design classic, at this year’s London Design Festival, T2’s iconic orange boxes will receive a new lease on life, lending them as a blank canvas for five days of creative expression.
Over the course of the festival a select edit of London artists from a range of disciplines are taking up a day’s residency in the T2 Shoreditch store, transforming it into an artist’s workshop. Here they’ll use the full sensorial experience of T2 tea blends as the sole inspiration for great, unique T2 box design.
We’ll invite them to discover the tea they love, slurp and sip as the day unfolds, and reimagine our famous packaging by visually expressing the flavour and experience of their tea right onto the box. We might know what French Earl Grey, Lemon Myrtle, Japanese GMC Sencha and Pumping Pomegranate taste like, but what does the experience of enjoying them look like?
Over the course of the week we’ll answer that question to produce an original series of exclusive must-have one-off designs that tea lovers will want to own, collect, and display.

Her preoccupation with the natural world was allowed to run wild with the publication of her first book, Animalium, which in 2014 was awarded the Sunday Times Children’s Book of The Year.

After being selected as a D&AD Best of New Blood winner in 2009, Sarah has gone on to carve a name for herself in the world of contemporary illustration. Her work - which is hand drawn using pen, ink and paint before being scanned and digitally edited - is a wonderful combination of portraits, maps, buildings, chicken shops and characters.
The style is fierce, confident and engaging, making it really shine when illustrating pithy, news pieces or posters. “I love getting an editorial brief, as it gives me a chance to think of smart or witty ideas and visual jokes,” says Sarah.
