Midnight Matcha

Move your daily Matcha ritual to your midnight calendar, with black sesame and forest berries to add a sprinkle of darkness.

Ingredients
  • 1-2 scoops T2 100% Certified Organic Matcha Powder
  • 60 mL / 2 oz 80 °C water
  • 150 mL / 5 oz chilled milk
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • Ice cubes
  • 1 tbsp blackberry/blueberry jam
  • ½ tsp lemon juice
  • Fresh berries
  • Black sesame

Brew Tip. To get 80°C water, simply combine boiling water with a splash of cold before pouring into your bowl

Method

    In a small bowl, stir together the jam and lemon juice until smooth and pourable. Spoon it into the bottom of your glass.

    Whisk matcha in a zig-zag motion with hot water until silky and lump-free.

    Add the syrup (vanilla or maple) and mix. Let cool slightly.

    Rim your glass with black sesame for a subtle shadow effect.

    Add ice over the fruit base.

    Slowly pour in the milk, then gently pour the matcha over the back of a spoon to float it above.

    Garnish with a few berries.
