How to Brew

    Add 2 teaspoons of loose leaf per 250 ml/8.4 fl oz water to your infuser and place the infuser in your cup or jug.​

    Half fill your cup or jug with freshly boiled water. This ensures there’s plenty of room to add ice later.​

  • 3

    Infuse for 5–7 minutes, or to desired strength.​

  • 4

    Remove the infuser and leave to cool.​

Brew tip

This tea is best sipped straight up, it’s sweetened by the tiny sugar hearts in the loose leaf blend.​

Lewis Carroll’s Long Island Iced Tea

Ingredients
  • Lewis Carroll’s Cherry Pineapple Tart
  • Hot water
  • Vodka
  • Cherry liqueur
  • Ice
  • Pineapple, sliced, to garnish
  • Cherry, to garnish
Tools
  • Infuser
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Tall glass
Brew tip. Like it nice and strong? Instead of brewing for longer, add an extra teaspoon and brew for the recommended time.​

Method

  • 1

    Brew 2 teaspoons of Lewis Carroll’s Cherry Pineapple Tart tisane in 150 ml of 100°C water for 7 minutes. Strain and let cool.

  • 2

    Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes, 30 ml of vodka, 15 ml of cherry liqueur, and your cooled tea.

  • 3

    In a tall glass add plenty of ice, a slice of pineapple and a cherry for garnish.

  • 4

    Shake and strain cocktail into your glass.

  • 5

    Serve and enjoy with a good book.
