Orange & Grapefruit Granita
Cool, citrusy and utterly refreshing, this Orange & Grapefruit Granita turns zesty fruit and tea into a light, icy delight that’s as perfect for a summer snack as it is for a standout dessert
Ingredients
- 4 large naval oranges
- ¼ Cup/50g caster or granulated sugar
- 3-4 scoops / teaspoons Granita Fruit Tea
- 150ml / 5 oz boiling Water
- Zest of one lime

Infuse 3-4 scoops / teaspoons of Grapefruit Granita tea in 150ml boiling water for 10 minutes.

While this is brewing, cut the flesh of the 4 oranges into chunks and place in a blender or food processor.

To the oranges, add the ¼ cup sugar.

Strain the Grapefruit Granita to yield ½ cup or 125ml brewed tea, and add this into the blender too.

Blend the ingredients together until smooth, and pour into a shallow, wide baking dish.

Place this dish into your freezer.

After 30 minutes, fluff the mixture with a fork and return to the freezer.

Repeat this step every 30 minutes for around 4 hours or until the mixture is no longer wet and takes on a flaky, dry appearance.

Scoop the granita into bowls, top with the lime zest and enjoy!
