Brew 1 cup of tea by adding 2 tsp of tea to 250ml of boiling water. Allow the tea to step for 3-5 minutes before removing. Allow the tea to cool for 20-30 minutes.
Pour your tea into a small ice cube tray and allow it to completely freeze.
Create a simple sugar syrup by adding equal parts of white sugar to boiling water. Allow the sugar to completely dissolve before removing from the heat. Allow the syrup to cool before use. You can store this syrup in the fridge for 2-3 weeks.
In a blender, add your tequila, cointreau, lime juice and sugar syrup, then add 6-8 tea ice cubes. Blend until the drink has a slushy consistency. You may need to add a splash or two of water if the drink is not fully blending. Pour the mixture from the blender into your margarita glass and get ready to party! (The best part about this drink is that as it melts, the tea flavour will become a lot more predominant and so tasty!).
