This traditional Ayurvedic recipe makes for a delicious pick-me-up, without the caffeine shakes!

You’ll need

  • 650 ml almond milk
  • 5 teaspoons Indian Spice
  • 4 medjool dates, pitted

How to

  1. In a small saucepan, heat almond milk until hot but not boiling.
  2. Turn off the heat, add Indian Spice, cover and stand for 15 minutes.
  3. Strain, then transfer hot liquid to a blender along with dates. Blend until thick and creamy*.
  4. Pour into two mugs and serve.

*Take care when adding hot liquid to a blender – ensure there is enough ventilation for steam.
