Easy to make, even easier to eat. Healthy chocolate decorated with tea and other goodies for a little crunch and a lot of delish!

You’ll need

  • 1 cup cacao butter
  • ½ cup coconut oil
  • ½ cup rice malt syrup
  • 1 cup cacao powder

  • Japanese GMC Sencha
  • Oolong
  • Hazelnuts
  • Pistachios
  • Almonds
  • Toasted coconut flakes
  • Freeze-dried strawberries
  • Dried blueberries

How to

  1. Melt cacao butter in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water.
  2. Once melted, add the coconut oil then the rice malt syrup. Mix well with a whisk until mixture starts to look a little cloudy/opaque.
  3. Sift the cacao powder into the bowl, and continue whisking for 10 minutes until well incorporated.
  4. Line a rectangular slice pan with baking paper and pour in the chocolate. Spread out evenly, then decorate with chosen flavours (see below for some ideas!).
  5. Transfer to the fridge to set. Slice or break into pieces and store in an airtight container in the fridge.

Some notes

  • For a chunkier chocolate, add the entire mixture to one rectangular pan instead of two.
  • No time to make it from scratch? Melt a couple of bars of your favourite chocolate then complete the last two steps.
