How to mix tea

There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to blending teas together.

Start by thinking about the tea taste or benefit you’d like to create – and from there you can define what ingredients you’ll need.

Then, collect the loose leaf ingredients, add them to your infuser and brew for the duration of the shortest recommended brewing time – this way your tea will not be over-brewed which can result in bitterness.

Add milk if you like and enjoy!

Caramel Brownie + Just Peppermint

  • 4 mins
  • 100°C (212°F)

"Minty, chocolatey and sweet, almost like a mint slice!"

- Liz, T2 Studio Manager

Get a good balance of chocolate and peppermint notes by using equal proportions of both Just Peppermint and Caramel Brownie loose leaf. Liz will add approximately 1 teaspoon of each into her infuser to make 1 up of tea. She then lets it brew for 4 minutes, to create a rich infusion. Once brewed, remove the infuser. Then Liz will add hot, steamed oat milk. And if she has it on hand, she will dust some cocoa on top to add an extra chocolatey taste.

Matcha + Wakey Wakey

  • 3 mins
  • 80°C (176°F)

"I call this blend Green Light as you're really ready to go after you finish your cup."

- Letitia, Retail Operations

To make this energising blend, start by adding ½ T2 Matcha to your matcha bowl, then add a splash of 80℃ water.Whisk in a M shape, until it forms a smooth, frothy paste. In a separate mug, brew 1 teaspoon Wakey Wakey loose leaf in an infuser with 80℃ water for 3 minutes. Remove the infuser, add the matcha, stir well.

The Belly Blend + Black Rose

  • 3 mins
  • 100°C (212°F)

"It tastes just like a cup of Turkish delight!"

- Bridget, Media Specialist

For 1 cup of tea, begin by placing ½ teaspoon The Belly Blend and 1½ teaspoon Black Rose in your infuser. Place the infuser in your cup with 100℃ water and brew for 3 minutes. Remove the infuser and your tea is ready to drink. Bridget prefers drinking this straight up – no milk or sweetener is needed.
