Matcha

Superfood benefits

  • Good to be green

The combo of caffeine and amino acid L-theanine in matcha buddy up to give you a slower release of energy. This means no caffeine jitters, and also means you can power on for longer. Great for hitting the books or before a work out!

Matcha also contains high levels of catechin, a superhero antioxidant that basically travels around battling free radicals that damage cell membranes and other structures. Less free radicals mean a healthier you, and all by sipping a little matcha!

  • Whole leaf goodness

While other teas are brewed and the leaves discarded, matcha is whole green tea leaves (called tencha) that have been ground into a powder.

To serve, matcha (which translates to powdered green tea) is whisked in hot water, meaning you consume the whole leaf, and are therefore more likely to get all that good stuff.

  • Get your greens in

Matcha’s a great superfood to add to your daily routine, and the even better news is that there’s loads of ways to enjoy its grassy fresh flavour and oodles of benefits. Try a spoonful in your smoothie, sprinkled over porridge, or mixed up into a frothy latte.
