Privacy Collection Notice

Tea Too Pty Ltd (ACN 101 752 998) (we, our, us, and T2) offers a diverse range of tea-blends and tea-related products for sale, offering our products to a wide-ranging customer-base in Australia, New Zealand, and around the world. We are excited to offer our loyal customers the opportunity to become a Member of our Tea Society program (Member), receive great rewards, and be notified of marketing opportunities via electronic communications (Tea Society).  

We know how important it is to be open and transparent with you regarding the way that we collect, store, process, and share your personal information. We take protecting your privacy very seriously and highly recommend that you read this notice before you create your account with Tea Society. We want you to understand and be comfortable with how we handle your personal information.

What types of personal information do we collect, and how do we collect it?

We will only ever collect your personal information in accordance with the laws applicable in your jurisdiction, being the Australian Privacy Act 1988, and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Personal Information	How do we collection this information?
Personal and contact details	When you join Tea Society, we will collect your name, phone number, email address, and country location. We may optionally collect your date of birth if you choose to provide it to us on sign-up.
Information about your purchases and transactions	We will collect information about your purchases to keep track of your use of the Tea Society benefits, and to keep showing you products that align with your interests. The information we collect in this regard includes purchase history, how and when you made the purchase, and your use of Tea Society benefits.
Online and digital services information	When you use our website, we may collect information from you electronically (through “cookies” and other online technologies), which includes information such as your IP address and details about your device. Please note that in some cases, including IP addresses for example, this may be personal information.

Why do we collect, store and use your personal information? 

We will collect and use your personal information for the purposes of:

processing your application to become a Member with us;
facilitating your purchases and the delivery of products to you;
administer our Tea Society benefits to you, including discounted products, free gift wrapping, early access to events, and other benefits; and
to conduct data analytics activities, in order to help us understand trends in consumer behaviour, and improve our products.

Additionally, we will use and disclose your personal information for marketing purposes. By signing up to our Tea Society, you consent to us (or our agents) communicating with you via email, mail, SMS, and push notifications to:  

promote the Tea Society program and T2’s products;
and notify you of special offers, promotions, or products you may be interested in.

Please note, you can opt-out of our direct marketing communications at any time by following the relevant, clearly marked opt-out or unsubscribe instructions in the relevant communication. 

You can also contact us using the detail set out at the bottom of this notice to tell us you would like to stop receiving direct marketing communications from us. 

Opting-out will not require the payment of any fee, and all opt-out requests will be actioned within 5 business days.

It is important to note that, in any case (that is, whether you opt-out or remain available for marketing communications), we will still communicate with you as required by law, or otherwise as required in relation to the products we are providing you (for example, in relation to delivery information, tax invoices or regarding T2 or the Tea Society program). 

Who will we share your personal information with?

T2 will share your personal information internally and with selected third-parties as set out in our Privacy Policy (linked here). That is, we will only share your personal information in the course of providing services and goods to you. As a business with customers and suppliers around the globe, some third-parties that we share your information with may be located internationally. For example, we share your personal data with international third-party service providers, as well as in cases of business transfers or legally required disclosure.

What happens if choose not to provide your personal information?

If you do not wish to provide your personal information to us on sign-up, we may not be able to create your account or enrol you in our Tea Society.  As such, we will also be unable to communicate our Tea Society benefits to you.   If you do not wish to provide your personal information to us, you may still checkout as a guest by following the instructions on our website. In doing so, we will only collect the personal information you provide during checkout in order to process your order. We will not collect or retain any additional information.
