Description
Naturally high in antioxidants, these black tea leaves are strong and distinct, with sweet, raisin and malty notes. Ajiri directly provides jobs and educational assistance to women, children, and farmers in western Kenya.
- Loose leaf black tea with raisin and malty notes.
- An energising cuppa, perfect in the morning or an afternoon pick-me-up.
- Best brewed for 1–2 minutes using freshly boiled water. One teaspoon per cup. Perfect on its own or with a dash of milk.

Sustainable Packaging
Packaging that protects
Almost all of our packaging is recyclable, reusable or compostable and is marked with logos to support correct disposal.
Compostable teabags
Our tea has come packed in compostable teabags since 2021. Made from plant- based materials, both bag and string are made from Polylactic Acid (PLA), with a paper tag printed with vegetable ink. Heat-sealed, they’re also glue and staple-free.
Polylactic Acid is a biodegradable bioplastic made from plant sources – in our case, we've used corn starch.
Compostable shopping bags
Shopping in-store? Our uncoated shopping bags can be recycled (when you’re done reusing them). Please note, there is a small charge for carry bags.
Plant-based polybags
Our loose-leaf tea is wrapped in compostable plant-based polybags, which are compostable. We recommend checking with your local government’s green waste pick up service before placing bioplastics in your home compost bins.
Greener gift wrap
Aside from our stickers, our gift wrap is entirely recyclable.
