Breakfast tea is a specific style of black tea blend, not a single origin or variety. The city blends: T2's take on breakfast tea

Sydney Breakfast is brighter and more bergamont-forward than Melbourne, sitting closer to the English Breakfast profile but with a distinctly antipodean lift. If Melbourne is the smooth, easy-going option, Sydney brings a bit more sharpness.
New York Breakfast adds maple syrup sweetness alongside the malt base, producing something that tastes like a Saturday morning rather than a Monday one. It works particularly well with milk and suits a slower start to the day.
Canberra Breakfast leans into cocoa and biscuit notes in a way that makes it feel almost indulgent for a morning cup. Singapore Breakfast is the most complex in the range, with toasted coconut and molasses giving it an earthy, aromatic warmth that sits well both with and without milk.

Milk or no milk
New Zealand has strong opinions on this, and the honest answer is that there is no right one. Most of the blends in this range are built with milk in mind. The malted, full-bodied character of a good breakfast tea softens with milk in a way that brings out the sweetness without losing the body. English Breakfast, Irish Breakfast, and Melbourne Breakfast are all particularly well suited to milk.
