If you’re a tea connoisseur or tea enthusiast, the term “organic tea” will be music to your ears. Our organic tea in Australia is far from just a beverage. It’s a commitment to sustainability.

What is organic tea?

You might be wondering, what exactly makes our organic teas organic? Depending on where we source our tea crops, our T2 Australian Certified organic teas are certified by different industry bodies, including the European Union and the International Fair Trade Certification. Fair Trade requires that the sourcing of tea leaves must be environmentally responsible and produced with organic or low pesticide levels.

Organic teas must be grown, harvested and processed without chemicals. Our organic teas are grown without synthetic pesticides, insecticides, fungicides, herbicides or synthetic fertilisers. Instead, they thrive in nature, relying on sustainable farming practices.

When you sip on our organic teas in Australia, you actively support a sustainable and ethical industry, minus the chemical contaminants that can damage waterways, soil and native habitats. When you choose organic tea, you’re contributing to a chain of positivity, from the tea garden to your teapot.

How to brew the perfect cup of T2 organic tea

Follow the below steps to brew your next mug of tea:

  1. Choose your organic tea

Select from our range of organic teas based on your preference. Whether you’re in the mood for the lush green goodness of our organic green teas, want to kick off your day with our organic black tea or prefer something else from our organic herbal tea range, we have a wonderful collection to choose from.

  2. Measure your tea

For the perfect brew, refer to the measurement instructions on your T2 packet, whether it’s tea powder, tea leaves or a tea bag.

  3. Steep with care

Pour boiling water over your tea leaves or tea bag. Let it steep for the recommended time, usually 3-5 minutes, to achieve the desired flavour.

For powdered teas, no steeping is needed. Simply mix with a fork or whisk until smooth and frothy.

  4. Sip and savour the taste

Sit back, relax and relish the sensory sensation of our T2 organic teas. Depending on your selection, you can add a splash of milk or honey to taste.

FAQs

How is organic tea different from conventional tea?

Organic tea is produced without synthetic pesticides, insecticides, fungicides, herbicides or synthetic fertilisers. Instead, they thrive in nature, relying on sustainable farming practices. Depending on where we source our tea crops, our T2 Australian Certified organic teas are certified by different industry bodies, including the European Union and the International Fair Trade Certification.

Are all organic teas caffeine-free?

No, not all organic teas are caffeine-free. Teas made from Camellia sinensis leaves, such as black, green, white and oolong teas, naturally contain caffeine unless they’ve been specifically processed to remove it. Herbal teas are caffeine-free, typically made from herbs, fruits or other botanicals and not from tea leaves.
